Tips for using Screen Recording and Playing Videos

We’ve listed some helpful tips and tricks to assist with ensuring you are setup for success when recording and playing videos in SalesHood. We’ve also including some troubleshooting steps that you can perform in case you’re experiencing difficulty recording or playing videos.

Screen Recording

In order to screen record in SalesHood, you will want to confirm that the following settings are adjusted on your web browser and computer:

Camera and Microphone permissions

  • Google Chrome permissions can be toggled by clicking on the padlock icon in the address bar when in SalesHood. You will then want to select “Allow” to allow SalesHood to record audio and video.

Troubleshooting Screen Recording and Video Player Issues

If you encounter any issues while screen recording or playing videos in SalesHood, please contact support@saleshood.com with the following information as it will help our team expedite the investigation.

Screen Recording issues

  1. The device being used to access SalesHood
  2. Which browser (or please indicate if this is in the mobile app), additionally please provide the version you are currently using.
  3. (Web only) Any add-ons or extensions in your browser (such as Ad Block)
  4. Is the issue also occurring in Incognito mode? Have you tried using Incognito mode?
  5. Are other users in your company experiencing this same issue? Please provide their names if so.
  6. Is the issue isolated to one page, or is it across all pages (for example, you cannot upload a pitch to any Huddle, or cannot record in any Huddle module). 
  7. When did this issue occur? Please be as specific as possible, this will help us when analyzing the logs for potential errors.
  8. Does your company use any security software that could potentially block SalesHood?
  9. Can you record with this test site https://www.webrtc-experiment.com/RecordRTC/?
  10. Have you tried using Firefox?
  11. Confirm that your Camera and Video permissions are setup correctly

Video Player Issues
