SalesHood Analytics – Getting Started With the KPI Dashboard

Before learning how to customize your KPI Dashboard, we suggest that you have reviewed and are comfortable with creating customized reports.

This is your starting guide to using the Standard Dashboards that are available out of the box in SalesHood and for creating new dashboards from scratch.


The KPI Dashboard

Dashboards are the primary window through which you gain insights into your reporting data. It contains the reports, embedded web content, and other object that collectively deliver a reporting solution for a category of interest.


To access the KPI Dashboard:

  1. Select “Reports” on the navigation bar.
  2. Select “KPI Dashboard”

The Dashboards Menu

In the KPI Dashboard, users can view dashboards available to them using the Dashboards menu on the left hand of the screen.

There are 3 types of dashboards that can be seen in this menu:

  1. Standard Dasboards
  2. Shared Dashboards
  3. Private Dashboards

Standard Dashboards

The following are dashboard that have been pre-built and are available out of the box. These dashboards are located on the left pane of the KPI Dashboard page and can be identified by the lock icon next to their names

Completion Summary

  • The Completion Summary Dashboard enables you to gain a high level understanding of engagement in huddles throughout your instance. This dashboard allows you to see how much participants are interacting in huddles specifically.

Content Management

  • The Content Management Dashboard enables you to track the use of files and collateral in SalesHood. Know which teams and segments are utilizing what content, what’s being used the most, and what files aren’t being utilized.
  • This dashboard contains the following reports and charts:
    • Total Files, views, and downloads
    • Downloads and views by Segment, Team, and Content Category (Library category in which the files are stored)
    • File Usage Details – downloads and views by File
    • Unused Content – These are files that have the lowest views in your system.

Enablement Review

  • The Enablement Review Dashboard is a great way to track activity, usage, and engagement across the programs rolled out in SalesHood.
  • This dashboard contains the following reports and charts:
    • Total Activities
    • Activities (Period on Period) – this shows engagement on the platform as measured by activities, by month, comparing the last 12 months to the previous 12 months.
    • Activities by Segment
    • Activities by Content Category – which categories house the most useful and engaging programs.
    • Top Segments by Activity & Completion – a great visual indicator of which segments are completing their work and engaging actively on the platform
    • Video Watching Time (Period on Period) – this shows engagement on the platform as measured by Video Watching Time, by month, comparing the last 12 months to the previous 12 months.

Manager Coaching Dashboard

  • The Manager Coaching Dashboard give you insight on how Managers are engaging with their teams on SalesHood.
  • This dashboard contains the following reports and charts:
    • Manager Engagement – This bubble chart shows Activities, Video Watching Time, and File Views by Manager. This is a great way to quickly understand which managers are engaging actively with their teams. This report is also presented in table format.

Shared Dashboards

Shared Dashboards are user created Dashboards that have been shared. While not marked with a label, the are the Dasboards found under the Standard Dashboards.

Here you can view your created Dashboards that you have shared with others, or Dashboards created by users that were were shared with you.

Private Dashboards

Private Dashboards are dashboards that you have created and are not shared with other users. Any Dashboards here are only visible to you and are usually reports you own/created.

Exporting and Sharing Dashboards

Once a Dashboard has been created, you can then share or export it using the “…” menu.


  • “Export to PDF” will generate a PDF of the current dashboard for your sharing purposes.
  • “Schedule emailing” will allow you to email the current dashboard at specified intervals. To learn more about scheduling emails click on this link.
  • If you need to remove someone from the dashboard’s email list, please contact Support@saleshood.com.

Important note: Exporting and emailing dashboards are meant to be used as screen captures – this means that the PDF generated will capture the image of the dashboard(s) included, but will not capture any tables that exceed the current view (ie., nothing that requires the use of the scroll bar will be included).  Please keep this in mind when exporting or emailing these dashboards,  as it is possible that not all data in your table will be included in the exportThis is expected.
