Below we describe how to customize your KPI Dashboard by creating new dashboards from scratch or customizing existing dashboards. See Components and Features of the KPI Dashboard for information on the layout and components of the KPI Dashboard.
Creating a New Dashboard
Creating a new dashboard is easy, but note that the reports or graphs you want to save to your Dashboard must first be created in the Reports Builder.
If the reports have been created and you’re ready to create a new Dashboard, follow the steps below:
- On the KPI Dashboard page, navigate to the top right corner on the Dashboard panel and select “+”
- The page will refresh to display the following options:
- Title Section: The area to title the dashboard
- Filters: The area to add filters to the dashboard
- The Dashboard: The area to customize the dashboard by adding reports and charts
- New Item Area: Add KPI metrics or filters to the dashboard
- Saved Insights Area: Allows you to select reports and charts you’ve created in the Builder to add to your dashboard
- In order to populate your dashboard with insights, drag and drop reports and charts you’ve created in the Builder from this area into the main Dashboard area
- Once you have added a report to the Dashboard area, a Section will be created. Each section can have their own Title and description added to organize your reports better
- To start a new section, drag a report into the Dashboard area above or below an existing section, where you will be given the prompt to Drop to create a new section
- Once you have added a report to the Dashboard area, a Section will be created. Each section can have their own Title and description added to organize your reports better
- Once you have added your reports you can also add filters to the Dashboard by dragging and dropping the Attribute Filter item into the top filter bar
- The filters added here determine the default view of the Dashboard. For instance, if the Date Range filter is set to view “This Month”, when initially accessing the Dashboard all the reports on the Dashboard will show data from This Month
- By default the Date Range filter is added to the Dashboard
- Setting a filter will affect all reports added into the Dashboard regardless of the filters included in the Reports Builder version of the report.
- If you want a report in the builder to ignore a filter, hover on the top right of the report in the dashboard, click on the “…” , and select Configuration. In the Configuration menu, untick the filters you wish to ignore in the Filter By section
- To delete a report from the Dashboard hover over the chart then select the “…” in the top left. Select Remove from dashboard to remove the report
- Once you have completed creating your Dashboard, click on Save in the top right
Sharing Access to a Dashboard
After a Dashboard is created, it can be found in your Private dashboards in the left hand Dashboards menu. While in the Private section, the Dashboard is only viewable by the creator of the Dashboard.

To allow your Dashboard to be visible to others, click on Share in the top left corner of the Dashboard.

This will open a menu where you can view the users who currently have access to view the Dashboard. Select +Add to add new users.

Use the search bar to search for users in your organization to share the Dashboard with.

*Note – the KPI Dashboard by default is only accessible to users with a Coach role. The Dashboard can be made viewable in a read-only mode to users with a Publisher or Manager role by enabling the option in the Company Settings.
