Manually Configure Okta SSO to SalesHood

Step 1: Create New App

  • Log into Okta and go to the Admin Panel

  • Select “Add Applications”

  • Select “Create New App”

  • Select “SAML 2.0” and click “Create”

Step 2: General Settings

  • Enter your app’s name, for example “SalesHood” and click “Next”

Step 3: Configure SAML – General

  • The format for “Single sign on URL” and “Audience URI” is https://{subdomain}
  • The format for “Default RelayState” is https://{subdomain}
  • For example, a company with subdomain ringcentral will have
  • Leave the other fields with their default values

Step 4: Configure SAML – Attribute Statements

  • Scroll down past the Configure SAML General settings to the Attribute Statements settings
  • SalesHood requires three attributes. For each attribute set their name format to Basic and select the corresponding value.
    • first_name – user.firstName
    • last_name – user.lastName
    • email –

  • Click “Next”
  • Select “I’m an Okta customer adding an internal app”

  • Click “Finish”

Step 5: Assign People

  • Click on the “Assignments” tab
  • Click “Assign” -> “Assign to People” and assign to users who will be testing preview sign on

Step 6: Send Certificate to SalesHood Support

  • Click on the “Sign On” tab
  • Click “View Setup Instructions”

  • Copy the “Identity Provider Single Sign-On URL”
  • Download the “X.509 Certificate”
  • Email both pieces of information to
