Welcome to the December release! Here we have some long-awaited features coming out, including updates on core functionality.
Web
Paths in the Library
We improved our library to include any published paths, so they are now visible to anyone who is assigned to that path within its category.

You can also update the paths name, copy to partner instance(s), bookmark, move to a different category, delete the path, and add a thumbnail via the library for any path. Lastly, you can place a path within a confidential category to add an extra layer of privacy to that path.
Video Improvements
We updated to a modern video player that allows for more functionality and flexibility in the UI. As we revamp our system UI in the coming months, this will help us expand how users interact with video throughout our system. For example, the video player can support watermarks, tailored color branding, and much more.
We also improved the player to include more functionality that has been requested. All the existing functionality of the player still remains and has not been altered in the platform.
Playback Speed
We added the ability to increase and decrease playback speeds, based on customer request. To do this, hover on the video and select the “x1” button then the speed.

This will update the video playback in realtime, to change it back follow the same steps.
Subtitles
We added subtitles as an option for all videos in the platform that support transcription, see below.

To turn on subtitles, select the “CC” or Closed Caption button then “English” to see the transcription in English. More languages will be coming in future releases. Have any recommendations? Please email support@saleshood.com.

Huddle Improvements
This release we focused on customer requested functionality that could assist publishers in creating programs and connecting other tools for learning/training.
Link Module
Added a new module type called “Link”. This allows you to add any site directly into the huddle as its own module/learning item instead of separate supporting documents.

If you have an external site or on-prem location the rep needs to see/review as part of the established training, this will allow you to report on that activity. To get completion for a link module, the user must view the module at least once.
Within the module, you can add a title, add a link, supporting documents, preview link visibility, mark as optional, and add a description.

Once you add a link into the “URL” field, it will display within the “URL Preview” section, if its display or shows an error then select “Redirect Enabled”. This will display the following, preventing any blank pages to appear in your module:

When the link module is published, it will appear like so:

Users can comment directly on the link module (including mentioning), as well as see any supporting documents or description.
Save Text for Unpublished pages
In the last release, we added save text for published areas of the huddle, that has been expanded for the unpublished areas as well. When you enter text and leave the field, the text will be saved until you clear your cache/cookies.
To retrieve the text, simply select the field or the copy in the image below:

User Management Improvements
Multiple Managers
Based on customer requests, we improved our manager structure to allow individual users to have multiple managers. This covers the use case where reps have more than 1 manager they report to within the sales process. One manager may be the direct line while another is an expert assisting in a specific industry or field.
There are two types of managers: Primary and Secondary. The primary manager is the first (main) manager the user receives by default. The secondary manger is assigned to the user via “Manage Users” or import. The user cannot exist without any manager, although we don’t require the user to have a primary manager. If the primary manager is removed, the secondary is not updated to the primary.
To add a second, third, or even fourth manager to a user go to the “Manage Users” page then select “Actions” then “Assign Manager”. You must have a user(s) selected for the manager to be assigned.

To add multiple managers via csv or text, separate the manager emails by a semicolon “;” then submit into the “Manage Users” page.

Once you assign multiple managers to a user it will appear as so:

To remove a manager or assign an existing manager as the primary for the user, go to “Actions” then “Remove Manager” or “Assign as Primary Manager”.

You can also update existing managers by selecting “Change Manager” in the “Actions” dropdown.
Now that everything is correctly setup, please note that secondary or further managers are treated the same as primary managers in the system. This means they will receive coaching activities, access to team dashboard, and more functionality based on their assigned users.
Adding/Managing multiple groups
We updated our importing, exporting, and general management of groups within the “Manage Users” page. Now when you export a list from the page, it will include all groups each user is in separated by commas.
Also, when importing via text or csv you can include multiple groups to users by separating each group with a semicolon “;”. If you are inviting a user manually, you can multi-select which group they should be added into by selecting them in below:

Mobile
Huddle Improvements
UI Clean-up
This release we updated various parts of the huddle/module UI to make it cleaner and consistent with web. First, we added the “optional” badge when a module is optional. Second, we removed the play/start buttons when a huddle/module is completed then added: “Done” banners. Third, we added “Views” for the Huddle to see a high-level stat of it’s performance. And much more!
We also removed tabs that are empty within modules to reduce swipes and taps when looking for something.
Activity Badges
On web, there is a red badge that indicates how much activity has occurred in an individual module. We brought that to mobile so its easier to find where things are occurring.
Other
Link Module
Added support for the link module to be consistent with web.
Branding
Your instance’s branding should now appear on all pages throughout the mobile app.
