SalesHood Release – December 2018

Welcome to our December release! This month we have a number of updates focused on enabling the ever expanding use cases for the SalesHood platform.

Sharing Content to Partner Instances

As a further enhancement to our PartnerHood offering, Coaches can now share content from your main SalesHood instance to your partner instances. All content can be shared, including Pitches, Huddles, Learning Paths, Files, and whole Categories. You’ll notice the “Copy to Partner” option both within the Publisher section of the content itself as well as by clicking on the options ellipses in the Library:

After selecting the Copy option, you’ll be prompted to select the Partner Instance you want to copy the content to, the Category in the Partner Instance library you want to copy the content to (select “Library” if you want it to be copied to the top level of the Library), and the Host/Owner of the content. If copying a Category, you’ll have the option of making the category Confidential, as well as copying all of the programs that are in the Category along with it:

Once you’ve confirmed your options you’ll be shown a progress indicator for the copy, and be notified when it’s complete:

Note: Copying content to a partner instance does NOT create a link between the content in the main instance and the partner instance. I.e. updating/editing the content in the main instance does NOT update/edit the content in the partner instance as well. Also, your are unable to copy files from an integrated third party source, such as Box or Sharepoint, to a partner instance.

Dropbox Integration

We’ve expanded our suite of third party content management integrations to include DropBox (in addition to our existing integrations with Box, Sharepoint, and Google Drive). Simply click “New” in the Library and you’ll have the option of adding items from your Dropbox account to the SalesHood Library:

The first time you add Dropbox files you’ll be prompted to authorize the SalesHood app to access your Dropbox:

After being authorized, you’ll be able to add files and folders from your Dropbox account via a popup that replicates the standard Dropbox UI:

Tagging Huddles

Now you can tag Huddles the same way you tag files! This will help users search for specific tagged content as well as enable you to surface Huddles in the SalesForce Content Management App. Coaches can add tags to Huddles directly from the huddle itself via the Manage Tags option:

After clicking Manage Tags, a popup will appear with your existing tag structure to allow you to tag the Huddle:

Upon making your selections and clicking Update you’ll be able to view and edit the tags for that huddle:

This content will now be pulled in the SalesForce Content Management App based on the tags you have set up, just as files currently are!

Note: This functionality will not be available immediately with our regular release on 12/6, but will be released separately the week of 12/10. This post will be updated with more information when this feature is available!

Hidden Activities for Learning Paths

You can now apply the same Hidden Activities functionality we currently have for Huddles to all of the programs in a Learning Path! When this selection is turned on, the following user roles will see the following effects:

  • Individuals: can see their own activities – not those from other participants.
  • Managers: can see all of the activities from members of their own team – not those from participants on other teams.
  • Coaches: can see all activities and responses.

To enable this functionality, select the “Activities only visible to Managers, Publishers and Coaches” option when editing the Start Here Module of the Learning Path.

Note: This functionality will not be available immediately with our regular release on 12/6, but will be released separately the week of 12/10. This post will be updated with more information when this feature is available!

Other Items

  • Responsive field heights in the mobile app: It’s now easier to enter longer responses and comments.
  • Notification badging on iOS: Know which notifications you’ve received but have yet to address. Have a clearer path from push notification, to opening the SalesHood mobile app, to addressing the notification.
  • Cleanup of the mobile app Notifications screen.
  • Other mobile UX/UI improvements and backend updates.

Our work on our next release is already underway! If you have any feedback or questions please reach out to support@saleshood.com.
